As announced earlier, all the UnERD 2010 participants and their submitted abstracts have been compiled into a single pdf document for your viewing / future reference (with winning presenters indicated). The file can be accessed here or in the “Results” section.

Dear students,
Thank you for attending UnERD 2010!
We would like to inform you that we will be posting a pdf with all the submitted abstracts (and indicating winners) online shortly. If you have any objections to this then we will remove your abstract from the list before we publish it. We will not be collecting updates to the abstracts that were submitted. We will also include the additional contributors you submitted along with your own submission.
We would also appreciate any constructive feedback you have about how the event was run. (we apologize for any confusion about the lunch and paired participants and will take steps to adjust that for next year).

UnERD 2010 is approaching!
The schedule for UnERD has been updated in the schedule section. If you do not see yourself in the list, or you see any other mistakes please contact us immediately.
Registration for UnERD starts at 8:00 next Wednesday in Bahen! Make sure to get your posters and presentations ready! Podium presenters please remember to send your completed .ppt to unerd2010@gmail.com. (if your presentation is too large, reduce the quality of the images etc.). The event schedule is still undergoing some last minute changes, so please check back regularly. Also, we suggest that you dress professionally (at least business-casual). Please attend as many sessions as you can, and arrive 15 minutes early to your scheduled session.
Abstract confirmations
Abstract confirmations have been sent out as of today. If you did not receive any message by the end of the day, please send us an email. We apologize for any inconvenience the delay may have caused, and we look forward to seeing you at the event. For the students that were not accepted for a podium presentation, please let us know ASAP if you would like to switch to a poster presentation. Also, please keep in mind that we have made arrangements with a local printing service (see link at right) to give students a discounted rate to print posters($3.69 /sq ft and free delivery, when ordering with code ‘unerd2010′).
The schedule will be revised over the next few days, so please check back.
Keynote speaker!
It has just been confirmed that Dr. Yu-Ling Cheng, from the department of Chemical Engineering and Applied Chemistry, will be our keynote speaker this year. She will be speaking about Engineering research and education.
Abstract Submissions Update
Thank you to everyone that submitted an abstract or registered! We had an amazing number of applications and we are all looking forward to hearing you speak about your summer research.
Abstract submission is now officially closed. We are currently reviewing the abstracts, and will be sending out final confirmations by the end of the week. Please be aware that some students who applied for a podium presentation will be asked to switch to a poster presentation.
